Instructions on how to use the features on the calendar are below the calendar frame.
For details of the events, scroll down to the Google Calendar on this page. There are different colour codes representing the various categories that the events have been designated. The main events are walks, meals, dances and theatres/concerts. All other events such as quizzes, house parties, badminton, ten pin bowling are in "special" events. The coding can be seen by clicking the arrow at the top right of the calendar. You can select the events of interest by ticking or unticking the boxes.
The calendar can be seen in different views month, weekly, or agenda by clicking the appropriate box at the top right. Dates and date ranges can be chosen by clicking the date boxes on the top left. For some events mainly walks but also regular events such as the badminton and pub nights you can get a Google Map giving the exact location of the meeting point. When you get the event details there is an option click for "more details". This brings up another window giving more options. Against the "where" box there is the hyperlink "map". Control and click this, and you get the map. You can click inside the balloon to get directions to here, and, if you type your own postal code in the correct format with the space in the middle, you will get a detailed map and directions to get to the location with an estimate of approx.time of the journey. Add 10-15 min. to be sure you are on time!!
