No social life to speak of?  Feel that life is passing you by?  Fed up of doing things on your own?  Don't like walking in the countryside in case strange people try to waylay you?  Then why not  join the Thursday Group on an easy 4 mile walk around the Morley and Lindow Moss areas of Wilmslow and see if you want to become one of the strange people who try to waylay others and get them to join our Group.  Seriously though, we're not really strange and some of us are quite nice!  But you'll never know unless you come along and see for yourself, will you?  The walk is a nice way to get to know people and find out about other walks and events the Thursday Group organize.  You never know.  Even unattractive, boring people begin to look attractive and interesting when you get to know them better.  Then who knows, you could end up with lots of charming interesting people to do things with and guess what, you could even meet the love  of your life, but don't bank on it!  We're not a dating agency or a refuge for the lovelorn and desperate.  We're just a social group for people who are fed up of doing things on their own.  Things such as visits to the theatre and concerts, the cinema, dancing, meals out, walking, cycling(occasionally), badminton, bridge, book club, you name it we probably do it.  We're not all Kevin Costners' (pity) or Catherine Zeta Jones' either, but probably have better personalities than both of them put together so come on, dip your toes in the water, there are no sharks around (guaranteed).  Maybe a few tiddlers but that's all.  Right, now we've talked you into it, gird your loins and head for the Vale Inn Pub Car Park, Adlington , Sunday 2nd Mar. at 2.00 for a 4 mile flat walk through the country lanes and fields of Adlingnton. Park at the public car park across the road (grid reference SJ 931781) or the adjacent Recreational Ground Car park first before using the pub car park.  Click this map link and type in your postcode with the space in the correct place to get directions to the start point of the walk.  Just one thing though, to fit in, you need to be around 45 years of age upwards, a single person, and preferably with a sense of humour as we already have a few miserable people in the Group!

Depending on the weather the ground could be muddy so bring along suitable footwear.
